East London, South Africa. Field Research. September 2006

You don’t really know who I am unless you know where I’ve been. My parents have always advocated learning by experience and traveling played an important role in that. Before the age of 12, I had already been to all 7 continents (yes including Antarctica) and to this day I have been to 46 different countries.

So when given to opportunity to do research abroad, I said absolutely yes! I choose to go to South Africa, a land I’ve always been enchanted by, and gathered and compiled a research paper regarding children and their ability to communicate to the world just through their art.

Below is the research proposal and a preview of the paper that I wrote as a result of my findings and after living there for 5 months.
