After my placement with 15 Minutes PR, I worked for designer Roksanda Ilincic, London's advant garde dressmaker who specializes in using a limited of materials such as satin, silk, ribbon. Roksanda herself is very sweet, fun, always laughing, and great to work with.
I interned at Roksanda’s for 7 months in which I assisted in production and design. Specifically fabric and trim sourcing, machine and hand sewing, sample fittings and adjustments, organizing press books, worked backstage at London Fashion Week and in-house shoppers, casting calls and lookbook photo shoots, utilized Adobe illustrator and photoshop for designs, studio maintenance, shipping preparation, and running production-based errands.
My major contribution to her collection was designing and creating the signature handmade haberdashery flowers (pictured above) that accented almost every piece in the collection (even covered an entire hooded cape).
