Call Me! is a zine founded by Grace Joel, Laura Morgan, and me. Call Me! is a high end street press magazine which aims to showcase London’s burgeoning creativity. Published quarterly, Call Me! features fashion, music, art and popular culture through photography, illustration, editorial, fashion shoots, interviews and articles of and by motivated and talented individuals doing their own thing.
London is an international melting pot of cultures, as is the staff and persepctive of the magazine, so references are globally relevant and desirable, inspiring readers to get involved with the arts. The magazine takes on almost an autobiographical approach of a girl living in London; writing about new bands and designers she’s discovered, her wardrobe, her inspiration and her crushes. Call Me ! has a unique point of view with an approach to fashion, music art and culture that is irreverent, witty, ironic, influenced by the past but set in the future. The magazine will be distributed as free street press around London, and eventually Australia, Asia and the US, being accompanied by a website giving a strong online presence.
I am the Features, Arts, and Media Editor of Call Me! zine and below is featured some of my work for the magazine, which includes interviews, art direction, and layout design.
